All Terrain Vehicles (ATV)

All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) are commonly known as off-road vehicles used for recreational, work and desert purposes. There are numerous types and sizes of ATV’s ranging from 50cc (youth) up to 1000cc (Side X Side); the purpose reflects the choice of engine and build needed. Safety and stability should be taken into consideration when choosing a vehicle. It is recommended to take an ATV operator course to ensure that you have the correct knowledge prior to riding the vehicle. To ensure safety and stability ATV’s built as 4x4 all-wheel drive are highly recommended.ATVs have many different models including sand rail, four-wheeler, UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) or “SXS.” A side by Side vehicle has seating placed beside each other, where as a 4x4 ATV has seating behind the driver. Brands such as Honda, Polaris and John Deere and many others have manufactured various ATV’s.
